Graphic Design #1 next> One of the essential parts of the design process is the many versions needed to refine a concept. You can see in the above logo for the Domestic Violence Crisis Service we went through multiple versions to come up with one which worked. The client wanted a personal, informal feel while still remaining professional. Same as their website. Each version can have a specific "feel" and it's a delicate balancing act to get the right one. And once you have the right feel, to keep it through the refinement process. Colour is not added until one design is finalised, and then starts another round of versions. Colour has many cultural, personal and emotional responses which all need to acknowledged and balanced. And keep the original "feel" intact. It's a tricky and often time consuming process, but part of the challenge which i enjoy. | ||||||||||||||||||||
